The 4th International Conference of Transdisciplinary Research on Environmental Problems in Southeast Asia (TREPSEA) was held as an online conference from September 16 to 18 and the participants addressed the important themes of “Managing Ecological Risks and Natural Disasters in Southeast Asia: Challenges for Food Security, Public Health, and Economic Welfare”.

The 3rd international conference of the Transdisciplinary Research on Environmental Problems in Southeast Asia (TREPSEA2018) was held at Hotel TC Damhil UNG on August 11 – 12, 2018 in Gorontalo, Sulawesi, Indonesia.

This conference has a significant meaning for Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. We feel that this conference will become an important benchmark for the development of new interdisciplinary approaches in the region.

Our Earth, which is the most beautiful planet in our solar system with uncountable natural resources and artistic appeal of natural beauties and it can only support living organisms according to our acquired knowledge from the science.

Over 200 of scientists, researchers, students, and stakeholders from Indonesia, Japan, South Africa, Myanmar, and Vietnam attended the 3rd International Conference of the Transdisciplinary Research on Environmental Problems in Southeast Asia (TREPSEA) at the State University of Gorontalo’s Hotel TC Damhil UNG in Gorontalo city, Republic of Indonesia.

The International Conference of the Transdisciplinary Research on Environmental Problems in Southeast Asia (TREPSEA) aims to conduct integrative research of interactions between natural environment and human-social systems in Southeast Asia to solve the environmental problems in Southeast Asia. TREPSEA2018 had been the third time holding in Gorontalo city.

TREPSEA2018’s Ice Breaking and Introduction (Welcome Dinner) was held on August 10th, 2018 at Hotel TC Damhil UNG on August 11 – 12, 2018 in Gorontalo, Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Researchers and stakeholders from Japan, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Lesotho (South Africa) arrived at the Jalaluddin Airport, and members of State University of Gorontalo (UNG) and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) gave a warm greeting to the guests.

TREPSEA committee members meeting was held at the meeting room at Hotel TC Damhil UNG on August 10, 2018.
